Dufour 39 CCPhoto: A. Hoppenhaus
Easy to see directly from the side: The cockpit of the 39 CC is at a lofty height.
The suffix "CC" on the Dufour 39 does not stand for Claudia Cardinale, but for centre cockpit. The centre cockpit may not be new, but it is becoming increasingly popular because it creates space below deck - and disorganises sensitive stomachs.

The Dufour 39 CC is easy to handle, sits well on the rudder at normal lean angles, has good sailing characteristics and can also be manoeuvred easily under engine power. The high centre cockpit is known to have advantages and disadvantages, which everyone has to weigh up for themselves. We still found it comfortable and did not have the feeling of being overly rocked. The workmanship is impressive in all areas. A crew of four to six has a considerable amount of space at their disposal, which is also sufficient for long journeys.
Unfortunately, the side appearance (the ship looks tall) looks a little plain without any decorative strips. The bulky superstructure in particular should be toned down in terms of colour. The engine room panelling and the arrangement of the hatches in the foredeck could be improved. However, for around 300,000 marks, we believe you get a reasonable value for money.
